STUDIOS: DK4/19

DK4/19

The disliked DK4/12 was replaced by the DK4/19 desk, seen here in S8 in 2000. These desks were by the time they went out of service older than some of the people using them, and still well-liked. They were the first to be designed in consultation with Studio Managers and as a consequence were comfortable to use. Barry Warr adds 'The studio has been preserved for the nation by BBC Heritage and will be reconstructed in a media museum'.
