Where the cheese comes from





For once, one of my grandfather's photos that I do know where it was taken - the village of Cheddar, Somerset, famous for its cheese and the nearby Cheddar Gorge: this remarkably clear and sharp photo was taken on a quarter-plate glass negative in the 1920s.
