Family history - back to the Front

My grandfather in his World War One uniform in 1918. (This isn't the grandfather who took all the photos, and married one of the ladies in the 'Three sisters' photo - this is my father's father, Francis Samuel Wilmut - always known as Sam.) As he was a maths teacher, he was placed in the Trigonometry Section, plotting the position of enemy guns from acoustic bearings taken from observer positions. He looks a bit wary here: the Army haircut doesn't help. In later life he got rid of the moustache, fortunately.
