My father took this photo of Edam when we were on holiday in Holland in August 1958. The old houses characterized much of Holland then - probably they still do: I haven't been back - and of course canals are a feature of the country as a whole. The photo was taken on his Zeiss Super Ikonta - a prewar camera which I later used and which was capable of very high quality: I will post a picture of it and talk about it in a later entry. |
