A simple Calrec desk (sarcastically referred to as the Fisher-Price desk) in S14 (originally the studio of S1) - OK for basic transmission and recordings, not so good for more complex features. Taken in 2004, while the changeover to RadioMan was still in progress, hence the presence of the Darts and a MiniDisc player. Swapping over the cubicle and studio in what had once been S1 (necessary because of all the equipment that had to go in it) had an annoying side-effect - the ventilation had been designed to keep the old cubicle - which was full of valve equipment - cool, and the studio reasonably warm. After the change the studio was seriously cold - the sections kept complaining about it - and the cubicle unpleasantly hot until finally an air-conditioner was installed.
