The Music Master, E.G.Holmes, taking a Choral Society
rehearsal.
Music was not normally the highest
priority for schools like Warwick, and it is to E.G.H.'s
credit that he stirred up a good deal of interest, built up
the orchestra, and persuaded the Headmaster to cough up
funds for various instruments which could be lent to boys to
learn on.

R.W.Long (English)
One of the most popular masters, capable of
making lessons interesting and keeping order without
difficulty - I never once heard him raise his voice. He
produced at least some of the school plays I remember
seeing, including 'The Devil's Disciple', a modern dress
'Macbeth', and excellent 'Our Town' and a gripping 'Morning
Departure' - all staged and performed to a high
standard.
