Continuity

Both the SM and announcer's desks were identical, and eventually there were periods when the announcer ran the network by themselves. In the end, of course, the network became entirely announcer-operated with the advent of NUMISYS, Bush's first computerised playout system (christened 'Nasty Unreliable Machine Invariably Spoils Your Schedule')..
