STUDIOS: S6
S6, the large studio in the basement S.E.W., originally called S16, with a GP Mk VI desk and an Audiofile digital recorder/editor in 2000. The Audiofile was an extremely complex digital recording and editing system, used only for dramas or very complex features: it was not, unlike the later RadioMan, networked so that the programme, once compiled, had to be copied to tape for transmission.
