Workers of the World divide

It occurred to me - and I don't present this as any profound philosphical observation - that the workforce largely divides itself into two classes:

1. Those who dislike their job and dislike the management for making them do it properly: and

2. Those who like their job, and dislike the management for preventing them from doing it properly.

I don't come into either class: for some years I've been doing just the occasional shift as a casual. The management and I largely ignore each other and as a result we get on splendidly.

Quite irrelevantly, I am reminded of the splendid comedian Arnold Brown's dictum: 'Cyclists of the world unite - you have nothing to lose but your chains'.
