A family advertisement


This is the business card of Henry Wilmut (1828-1865), the younger brother of my great-great-grandfather.



The original measures 150 x 112 mm. Henry married Anne Ridgewell (d1861), had a son, Henry (1857-1919) and a grandson, Frederick Charles (1888-1918) but there appear to have been no further descendants in the male line (there was also a daughter in each generation). The family came from the Bristol area, and Henry set up his trunk-making business in Bath
