A sleepy English
village,
photographed by my grandfather, probably somewhere around 1920. The
quarter-plate glass negative has become slightly marked, and I have
cleaned it up as best I can. If anyone recognizes it, it would be
interesting to know where this is. The word painted on the roof of the
Dutch-barn-like building halfway between the church and the left-hand
edge of the picture is 'Stanley', if that helps.
