I took this photo on
3rd November
1963 in St. James's Park, London, using a prewar Zeiss Super Ikonta
roll-film camera. Everything just happened to work: the light was
right, and the birds flew through the picture as if just to oblige me.
The sun is actually in the picture - this is the advantage of a shutter
within the lens: try this with a single-lens reflex or a digital camera
and you'd stand a fair chance of burning something.
