St. James's Park

I took this photo on 3rd November 1963 in St. James's Park, London, using a prewar Zeiss Super Ikonta roll-film camera. Everything just happened to work: the light was right, and the birds flew through the picture as if just to oblige me. The sun is actually in the picture - this is the advantage of a shutter within the lens: try this with a single-lens reflex or a digital camera and you'd stand a fair chance of burning something.
