My mother's family originally came from Holland, and as we had friends and relatives there my grandfather visited at least twice; in 1935 he took a very few photos - at least only a few have survived (most of them of family members): and in 1958 my parents and I visited Holland (I was then sixteen). My father took a number of photos (using the camera in the picture, right) - I wish he'd taken more but this was roll-film, not 35mm, and one tended not to waste shots.

I've created this album to show the most interesting ones: I've not been back since but I've been able to use Google Earth to find most of the locations, and in some cases the exact camera position, and I've provided links to placemarks you can download and double-click to show them in Google Earth.
